Methods:
Cut the nian gao into thin slice and set aside.
Whisk plain flour, egg, salt, water and cooking oil till into a smooth thick batter.
Dip the nian gao into the thick batter and pan fried over low heat with oil until both side turn golden brown.
Note: You can sandwich the nian gao with yam or sweet potato and then dip into batter also. But must cut the yam or sweet potato into thin slice and pan fried longer to get the yam and sweet potato cooked.
